MMST problem

Does the MMST protocol only work on pre-WMP9 clients?

I have MMS enabled on my WMS9 server, but cannot seem to connect to it
directly.
Both RTSP and HTTP work fine, and when I connect via mms://<path> it
rollsover ok, but never to MMST.
Nor can I connect directly via MMST as I can via RTSPT.

Any ideas here?

Thanks in advance,

Jeremy

Jeremy,

When connecting to WM Server 9, WM Player 9 will only use RTSP and HTTP -
it will not try MMS (even though you've specified MMS in the URL, if you
are connecting to a WMServer 9, it will use RTSP to do the streaming).

As you seem to know already, older players (pre-WMP9) can still connect via
MMS to the WM Server 9.

Also, when connecting to an older server (i.e, WM Server v4.1 - which does
not have RTSP support), WM Player 9 will use MMS and HTTP.

Hope that answers your question.

Thx,
Ravi
