I have loaded Windows 2000 on my system.  I also am
getting the Svchost.exe error.  I have downloaded several
patches and keep getting the error. I find an answer to
download "windows 2000 post-service pack 2 com + hotfix
rollup package 14"

I can not find this service pack.  Can you give me info on
how to get it?
Thanks
Terry A. Jones

Hi,

I was having a problem in the form of message coming to me
each time I open my windows2000 "program error with
Sychost.exe...etc etc"..exactly I don't know much about
Sychost.exe ..the problem happen as such:

1-I installed 2nd version of windows 2000..now I have 2

2-I decided to ununstall one of them ..now I have 1

3-the error report of Sychost.exe start to reveal when I
deleted one version(probably I could not delete it
correctly).

4-Later I decided to return back the deleted version.

the result: the error reprot that was coming each time
about Sychost.exe has been stoped..and no more error
reports..I am not a technical person but that is what I
observe might wrong and might right
