wont download update

I try to download the updates but it wont do it. It goes through all the
steps but when it gets to the download it just sits there and wont download
what is the prob anyone know?

I am currently experiencing the same problem. Have you
checked the Windows Update log? Go to C:\WINNT\Windows
Update.log and check the error code. I would be interested
in seeing what it says.

Hey Josh
I did not check that log file I had already fixed my problem on my own
before I saw your post. I had IE5 still on my computer so what I did was go
to the IE page and downloaded IE6 and installed that and when I rebooted
after installing IE6 then I went to the windows update page and everything
is working fine now. I have almost downloaded all the updates I needed. I
don't know why IE5 would not let me do the windows update but upgrading to
IE6 solved my probs! Good luck with yours!
