There used to be a way to download updates manually.  This seems to be
now impossible.  Or is there a workaround?  What about torrent sites?
Can people post the files there?  Will they work if they do?  I really
don't want to connect an unupdated, vulnerable computer to the internet
before I have the updates.  It seems rather illogical when you think
about it.

There are about 8000 links on that page.  Any idea if there's one
that's relevant?  :)

Pick the relevant updates in the appropriate month?

Wouldn't you want the latest month?  I just want to bring my machine
that is currently offline, up to date without going online to do it.

These are bulletins.  Where are the manual updates?  They download a
small executable that necessitates the computer to be online to
retrieve the update.  Or did I miss something?

Yes, you missed something.  Keep following all the links, and you'll get to
the manual downloads.

You can bring it up to date manually by download *all* of the updates from
all of the months you don't have.

Since I have several machines that are basically indentical in terms of os,
IE, and directx, office, and wmp, etc.  I usually let the windows update
site scan, then instead of letting it update automattically, I click on more
info and download the manual install exe for each one.  Then all I have to
do I deploy the updates to the rest of my machines.

Or try this.
