Hi;
Poking around, I find there are several possible causes for the error you
saw. For example, what video card are you using and what driver version for
that card? Do you have a video capture card installed? Citrix? What
printer(s)? What other peripherals and drivers are on that computer?
Have you installed SP4? The Update Rollup #1 package? If not, I recommend
installing both (in that order, of course) as there are fixes in each that
apply to that particular error. If the error perists after installing those
two items, please post back with a more detailed description of the system
and peripherals.

Thanks a lot Tom "Sky" King,
After much googling around, I too found out about the Update Rollup #1
package, as a cure for the BAD_POOL_CALLER system crashes in Win 200 and XP,
and have downloaded and installed that update. And no more *** STOP
0x000000C2 BAD_POOL_CALLER system crashes have occured after that, so far.
Strange that Microsoft didn't say as much in the knowledge base arrticle,
though?
Phoning Microsoft support usually means veeeery long waits on the line, so
I'm a bit reluctant to try that again, so I'd rather postpone that option
until it is clear that the Update Rollup #1 package is not sufficient.
Thanks again,
Trond Ruud,
Norway.
