Win2k sp4
I noticed the update Icon (download/notify) was stuck at 21%, I rebooted PC
it immediately showed 54% and was stuck.
Start>Winupdate, IE opened at MS update page and froze.
Started IE, Tools>WInupdate opened new page and froze
IE functions on MS main site & all other sites.
Cleared cookies/temp files etc, ran AV scan and various malaware scans - all
clear.
Any thoughts?

Cured :)

Downloaded Dec12 IE6 cumulative update admin install, and installed.
On reboot update Icon stated 'updates ready to install' these then
installed, and winupdate page functioned correctly
