I have recently reinstalled Windows2000
I have Service Pack 4 on my machine.
I have good anti virus and firewall installed.
I have totally disabled Windows Update.

Do I really need all the critical updates?

Any help or advice appreciated.

There is an update rollup for W2k SP4 - see
http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/server/evaluation/news/bulletins/rollup
.mspx.  This is the final "service pack" from MS.  There will be ongoing
critical updates.

In a previous post I noticed that line-wrapping separates the hyperlink over
two lines, with only the first one being active.  Make sure the URL you go
to is complete, i.e. from "http" to "mspx" by copying and pasting instead of
clicking the link.
