Removing the $NtUninstallKB.....$

If I'm not interested in backing out a windows update, can I delete the
folders in WINNT with names like $NtUninstallKB917736$ ?

Sure you just wont be able to uninstall the updates.
Suggest you delete older ones first and see how win goes
