Our main accounting server is running Windows 2000 server SP4 and SQL 2000.

I recently installed a bunch of updates that Automatic Updates had
downloaded.  However, 8 updates were unable to install.

One of these was KB891816, Update Rollup 1 for Windows 2000 SP4.

After some research, I found that this rollup has caused a lot of problems
for a lot of people. Including SQL errors, which could potentially disrupt
our entire accounting department

Should I hold of on trying to install it for now?  How critical is it?   It
seems like it is holding up the installation of

KB893756
KB901214
KB904706
KB905414
KB905749
KB917537
and KB917953

should I try to install these separately.

I hate these updates.  They scare the hell out of me.

Hi, Mike;

Yes, I would recommend installing the Rollup package.  However, you should
read http://support.microsoft.com/kb/891861/en-us before doing so and take
any actions listed in that article that apply to your server system.

You may also want to obtain this HotFix if you think it would apply:
