I have a valid key.  The Microsoft Update site suddenly said that my
key is invalid when Microsoft had previously checked it out and it was
valid.  Now I can't get updates.  About the same time this happened, my
Google Toolbar disappeared.

Troubleshooting suggestions?  Is this a java script problem or some
kind of active x problem?  I am lost.

Unsure how helpful this is, but I solved a win2k update problem
by going here and trouble shooting with the new validation tool.

The WGA diagnostic site. Works both in IE and Firefox.
