I have just installed WSUS on a windows 2003 server.  The WSUS is using the
custom port as there is aleady a web page running on the server and using
port 80.  I have migrated the content and approvals from SUS to the new WSUS
server.
I have setup my update options and my classifications.

I will be using group polices to allow the clients to connect the WSUS
server.  Currently we are using group policies to allow the clients to
connect to the SUS server.

My problem is that I am getting confused on how i make my clients (windows
XP) wsus clients.  They were previously using SUS client and we used SUS to
deploy SP2 on the Windows xp clients.

Once we move the clients to the WSUS group policy and set up a schedule,
will the clients automatically become wsus clients or do i need to install
anything else on the clients.

Also once the updates are already installed what status will the Approval
column be for the updates, will it remain as install.
