Try doing a clean install.

I you have an old DOS disk, format your drive to fat before putting Win 2000
on.

This post doesn't give anyone much to work with.
Your prior post with regard to Win2k and bootup doesn't belong in this group
as it isn't related to Microsoft Windows Update. Try posting in appropriate
groups (e.g., ones for W2k) and see what you can get help with there.
