SP4 problems with internet explorer

I just did an update to internet explorer from msupdate, and now I get
NOTHING. Just blank pages that say "done" at the bottom left corner. I cant
get any sites. I have gone through all options and settings, and all look
like they always have, rebooted, etc.....no changes. Whats the deal here?
Also, after doing the sp4 update, then the sp4 rollupdate < thats the one
that screwed things up, it shows I still need 20 some updates? Isnt the later
supposed to have all those there? I started with sp3 on disk...again...Whats
the deal? BTW...I'm on a different machine Please help...I need some sleep! :(

I got the pages to load (reboot 3 times?) but I also noticed after the rollup
update, the internet explorer icons are gone from the desktop, start menu,
and from in control panel? And the site still thinks I need to do the rollup?
And everything is slow now, even shutting down.....Any help
