The floppy works otherwise...excel, powerpoint, windows explorer. It stops
saving in word and just hangs. You try to close it and it won't. Eventually
it says something about debugger. Removing this rollup takes care of the
problem, but we can do that as a permanent solution.
Hey, is it possible to unstall the Rollup patch? I thought it ain't
possible? I have conflicts with several 'old' StarForce protected games, and
it all started after the patch.

Never mind : just found. So used to find those uninstall patches under
Windowsblablabla, but this one was called Updateblablabla. Anyway, the 2
older SF protected games are working again

Hey I have the exact same rollup1/floppy/Office 2003 issue in my lab of 100+
computers, which mainly use Windows 2000. I've been stuggling with this
problem for the past 3-4 weeks. They all freeze when trying to save to a
floppy disk sometimes on the first save and sometimes on the second, you can
save anywhere else on the HD or external device with no problems. Its not
just Word but Excel too. You have to force shutdown once this happens as
nothing will work and the windows will keep freezing up on you on after the
other. I removed the roll up 1 sp4 and the problem stopped. Does anyone have
a work around to this problem and doing the critical updates while avoiding
the one that is causing the saving problem ? Does anyone know which one is
causing the problem ? The computers we use are all Dells on Windows 2000. We
have Windows XP in one lab so the problem does not occur there. Any help or
insight would be useful ! Thanks
