I have just created a new win 2k install in the last week and over the
last 2 days I have been installing all of the windows updates. In the last
24 hours I have noticed that every time I right click, go to new, and
without clicking to create a new folder the Explorer shell crashes, every
time without fail.

Hi;

Can be caused by some 3rd party apps.  See

Thanks, checked it out,
but all I had done after a clean install was srv pack 4, EnableBigLba in
registry for >137g drives and then do all of the windows updates.

I have also done a,
'SFC /scannow /quiet'
from cmd, but no luck I wonder if there was something bad with the
install/updates as I lost the right click on the desktop/properties last
night.

Then today the drive was empty, all partitions/install gone :(
