Recently, we have had four machines on different domains come up with
the same error message.

Files that are requested for Windows to run properly have been
replaced by unrecognized versions.  Please insert the Windows 2000 CD

After inserting the CD, the problem keeps coming back, which sould
like a virus or spyware.

We have run virus scans on the machine and have run two different
spyware removes, none have helped the problem.

I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if they have a
solution.

Thanks

I had the same problem on my desktop running w2k Pro.  After I put the disc
in as directed windows went into a full install setup and hung up. I have not
been able to get out of setup since.  No matter how many times I restart or
attempt to get into safe mode, etc. it still goes right back into setup and
hangs in the same place.
