I have attempted to install the subject security update
repeatedly and have been unsuccessful. The update appears
to download correctly and promptly, however the
installation never completes, even after an hour. On
other computers I have updated, I have not experienced
this problem. Any help would be appreciated.

What operating system are you having the problem with? Try to manually
download the patch from the security bulletin at
http://www.microsoft.com/security and do the install.
Do you get an error?

I'm having the same trouble except it does install and I
must reinstall it daily. For some odd reason it acts as
if it has not been installed. If you find anything that
would help, let me know. Thanks for any advice. Also
patch kb837272 does the same thing.
