Windows Server Forum / Windows 2000 / Update / March 2004Win2000 - SP4
When attempting to download/install SP4, I get the following error message: "Service Pack 4 Setup cannot update a checked (debug) system with a free (retail) version of Service Pack 4 or vice versa." I would appreciate any help as to what to do next. Jerry You need to get the SP4 version that matches the installed version of Windows. Either you are using the checked/debug SP4 to upgrade a standard retail installation, or you are using the standard retail SP4 to upgrade a checked/debug installed version.
