I have just installed win 2000 with sp4 and all was well.

However, I have since installed all the securuty fixes in windows update and
am getting the following error in the log on shutdown.

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Userenv
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1000
Date:  30/01/2004
Time:  10:49:09 PM
User:  NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Computer: ROGER
Description:
Windows cannot unload your registry class file.  If you have a roaming
profile, your settings are not replicated. Contact your administrator.

DETAIL Access is denied. , Build number ((2195)).

This problem used to be caused by Q329170 but since I am running "up to
date" then I think this must be a new similar problem in one of the post sp4
security fixes. Is there a fix yet for this issue?

Thanks in advance for any help,

Roger B.

Have had an experiment with my PC.

The removal of Hotfix 824146 fixes this problem.

Hope this might help someone else,
