I have checked for available updates for Windows 2000
Professional, then attempted to install Internet Explorer
Service Pack, but got the following Windows Update Error
message:
"Windows Update has encountered an error and cannot
display the requested page."
I am offered some pages where I might find helpful
information, but have been unable to find any information
that is helpful.
Can anyone tell me why this is happening, and what I can
do to install theses updates? Thank you.

Wrong system date on the computer?
Try downloading the update directly and bypass Windows Update to see if that
works.
