To All,

After updating to SP4 on Win2k pro and applying hotfixes
it seems that almost all applications (.exe) will not run.
They all die with an application Error popup ("the
instruction at 0x... referenced memory at 0x...etc). They
produce an event log with an ID 26.

Is this related to IE 6 sp1 or ???

Is there a tool or process to fix these?

Thanks in advance!

Andy

We're currently running Win2k Pro SP3 on our workstations
and I've begun to see similar error messages after
applying the latest hotfixes. We've also had some users
experiencing problems accessing & printing Word files.

The errors are not appearing on all workstations but I
haven't been able to come up with a common denominator as
to why it's occurring on some PCs and not others.

So far the only fix seems to be to uninstall the Hotfixes.
