reboot cycle = patch 824141

I've seen from another post that this is the offending
patch causing the reboot cycle problem. Can anyone post
directions on how to back that out from the Recovery
Console or manually on the file system? TIA.

I have removed this file but it does not resolve the
looping issue.

from RC navigate into the $NTUninstall$ directory of the hotfix/critical
update and navigate (chdir or cd) into the spuninst folder then run a "batch
spuninst.bat" from that directory.  Reboot into the system.  If the patch is
the culprit, you'll be able to boot into the system and to uninstall it from
the add/remove programs at that point.
