Dear all, I am new to Windows 2003 Server enviroments. Seeking for anyone who
can help me. One of my terminal prompt a message asking the user to contact
Administrator because his terminal licensing is expiring very soon.

What should the administrator do? how to solve this? PLease help!

Check your licensing situation:

* did you install a TS Licensing Server?
* did you activate it?
* is the Licensing Service up and running? (check the EventLog)
* did you purchase and install TS CALs on the LS?
* do you still have enough free TS CALs?
* did you buy and install Per User or Per Device TS CALs?
* is the Terminal Server (not the LS!) using the same licensing mode
as the type of licenses you installed on the LS?
You can check this from Administrative Tools - Terminal Services
Configuration - Server Settings - Licensing Mode

Dear Vera

THanks for your reply. I ahve Install the TS licensing Server and Activate
it. The problem now is the TS server is not releasing the license to my
client user. All the client fail to remote deskptop into my TS server.  The
error message sound liket his. Your client access license is not upgrade or
renewed. please contact your administrator.

Did you buy 2003 TS CALs?
Did you install them on the TS Licensing Server?

OK, we take the next bunch of questions. Please answer them all,
otherwise this is going to be a long process:

* did you install the licenses as "Per User" or "Per Device" TS
CALs?

* is the Terminal Server (not the LS!) using the same
licensing mode as the type of licenses you installed on the
LS? You can check this from Administrative Tools - Terminal
Services Configuration - Server Settings - Licensing Mode

* can the Terminal Server locate the TS Licensing Server (check in
the EventLog on the TS for errors and warnings).
