Hello All,
If I have 1 server running TS in app mode. Can I use it without getting any
licenses? (using the 5 user lic that comes with it)
If so, can I put say Office on the server, and let 5 user access it without
buying 5 office licenses?
Is this legal, or do I have to purchase TS & Office licenses to be in
compliance. I want to do this the legal way.

Thanks for any input.

I'm not sure about the Office licenses but you can use TS in app mode
without licenses for 120 days.

If the TS runs Windows 2000, you have a grace period of 90 days,
not 120 days!
After that, you must have a Licensing Server installed and
activated and you must have TS CALs. How many and which type
depends on the version of the OS, both on the server and the
clients.

Regarding Office: no, you need a Office license for every device
that runs Office, and it doeasn't matter if Office is installed
locally on the client or run in an rdp session.
