On the server: no. The only way is to upgrade to Windows Server 2003.
5.2 gives a lot of new features, like redirection of local drives,
COM ports, high colour, etc.

ok, so can I use a 5.2.3790 client to connect to a rdp
5.0 2000 server or will it have to connect to the same
version number - i.e 2003 server 5.2?

The 5.2.3790 client is backwards compatible with all versions of
Terminal Server. You can connect to Windows NT 4.0 TSE, W2K TS, XP
and 2003 TS. But you will only get the full set of features when
connecting to 2003 TS.
