Is it possible use Remote Desktop to connect to a Windows 2000 Server w/ Terminal Services using an SSL connection over the internet?  I am trying to connect a workstation to our W2K server.  I am able to connect the workstation the first time after configuration, but then after disconnecting, it will no longer connect.

Are there any browser alternatives?

I am using a VPN over a satellite connection.  Any ideas on other things to try

Have you checked the EventLog on the TS?
I bet there are several EventID 1004: "cannot issue license".

Your problem (can connect once, but no more than once) is
symptomatic for a black hole router. The reason is that on the
second connection the TS must issue a permanent license to the
client (the first connection always uses a temporary license). The
packet size can be too big for some routers. If that's the case,
you'll have to lower the MTU size.

Check the Microsofts Terminal Services FAQ at
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/community/centers/termi
nal/terminal_faq.asp

there are 2 Q&A about this under "Connectivity".
