Hi,
I have a client that is telling me that it is possible to authenticate users for Terminal services via Radius authentication.

First off, is this actually possible? Secondly, if so, how does one set this up?  Does this require IAS or can any radius authentication server work?

Thanks for any help any one may be able to provide.

?!?!?  Never heard that!  Now, authenticating via RADIUS for a VPN first
maybe but why would you do this?

I guess the biggest reason to do this, is to be able to make your backend password a bit more secure.  Using a radius authentication server you can use many different types of secure authentication.  The major one (the market I work in), would be One Time Passwords.

128 bit encryption is all most people req.  Setup password attempt policy
with difficult passwords and that is about as strong as most need to be.
With some 3rd party apps you can restrict by MAC or IP (they can be spoofed
but they would have to know that).
