lost connections - wireless client

I'm running Windows 2000 Server with all kinds of client systems.  Recently
one of the clients moved and only has a wireless connection to the internet.
Now he frequently loses his connection to the server, even though his
internet connection is still active.  Upone testing we see that 1-3% of all
packets are lost between his house and the ISP.  The ISP says there is
nothing they can do, wireless has it's weaknesses and any loss below 3% is
normal.  He has no other choices.

The ISP also said that later versions of Terminal Server are more forgiving.

Question:  Is the Terminal Server in XP Professional more forgiving of lost
packets? and if so is 2003 Server any better?  What are my options to solve
this issue?

All suggestions would be appreciated.

2003 TS (and XP SP1) have a feature called "automatic
reconnection". That could be all that your client needs.

If switching to a 2003 server only to solve this issue for one
client isn't an option, you could try to increase the value for
TcpMaxDataRetransmissions on your current W2K TS.

I have made the changes to my windows 2000 registry and will let you know if
it makes a difference, none of the registry entries existed. I created each
and entered the suggested values.  I would rather do this than buy a new
server to solve the problem for 1 person.

If you think of any other settings I can tweak, let me know.
