Hello Dave
I have a Ghost image of my C drive
saved on my F drive and also on a removable
USB drive.

Assuming a catastrophic failure
of my OS.....
Will this work:
Reinstall Windows with the bare
minimum - only service pack2.
No connecting to any network
No drivers
No Microsoft updates
( just enough to get Windows running )

Then use the Ghost floppy to
copy back my saved image?

Hope this makes sense.

Any help or advice appreciated.

And does not Ghost have the option to boot from its cd / floppy to
recover/restore the Image from the selected location?
Why would you want to first install win?

I agree with DL. Why not use the ghost tools to restore from?

Thanks Dave and DL
Of course - no need to first install Windows.
Just load the Ghost boot floppy and restore
the ghost image to C drive.

Correct ?

correct

Allthough I'm unsure as to whether you would have to install third party
drivers from floppy, during the process, if using Sata/Raid
