I have a computer with win2K that I received from a friend of mine.  The
computer has two users defined and she had only the userid and password that
she was using and thought it was an member of the administrators group
because she had install rights.

I would like to remove the original user but do not have authority to access
the userids and passwords.

I do have the original install cd for win2k and also the office pro cd but
not all of the software that I can now use.

Is there a way to reinstall win2K over the top of the current installation
with a new administrator user id such that I can eliminate the original
users?

I know that I can do a fresh install but would like to still have access to
the software that is installed.  Once the new install is done, I would
delete the original operating system installation.
