KB936782 Hangs

I have tried every way I can think of to get the KB936782 to install, but
it hangs every time. I have downloaded it, turned of firewall and virus
checker, searched the KB, and google without luck. I have left the update
running over night to make sure I am giving it a lot of time. It seems to
fall asleep at the very beginning of the install. Supposedly this is an
important update for Media 9? I am trying to update a Windows 2000 laptop.
Any ideas on what I might do to get it to install?

Thanks,

Mike

Support for security updates is always free so I'd give product support a
call at 1-866-PCSAFETY

Thanks. I used the link in your signature to navigate to

https://support.microsoft.com/oas/default.aspx?enty=PIDLESS&prid=815&med=online&
enval=815&ln=en-us&tp=wm&as=1&tzone=300

and entered an online request.

Where do I go if I have problems installing an update?
See Microsoft Update Help and Support for information about these and other
options:

Microsoft Update Troubleshooter
Microsoft Update Support Center
Windows Update Newsgroup
Microsoft Online Assisted Support (no-cost for Microsoft Update issues) <--

I am getting ready to go on a trip and do not have time right now to give
them a call.
