When I used the cum patch (4) I agreed to achiving files which I think became
a "D-drive."  I need the space and want to scrap the files and allocate the
space to my C Crive.  How do I do this?

Electing to archive files during application of a cummulative patch or
service pack does not define a new drive.  Instead, a compressed
folder is set up just under %windir%.  If you do not want the ability
to roll back the service then the archive folder may be deleted.
