After "securing" a Windows XP workstation with an automated (!!!) procedure,
trying to logon as user i actually receive this message :

Local policy does not permit you to logon interactively.

Can someone please explain, step-by-step, how to allow users to logon
normally on the network ?

Thanks,
RR

Can you log on to the machine as an administrator? If so, log on, fire
up gpedit.msc and navigate to CompConf\Windows Settings\Security
Settings\Local Policies\USer Rights Assignment - there's a policy called
"Log on locally". Add the users there.

If you cannot logon as an admin, use another computer and edit the
policy from there, using
gpedit.msc /gpComputer:"Computername"

cheers,

Florian
