I have a general question regarding software updates in SCCM. I've
worked with deploying patches with ITMU in SMS 2003 for quite some
time. Does anyone know if there is a way where ITMU allowed you to
set
the install time and mandatory reboot time. In the past when I create
the package for Microsoft updates through ITMU I would set the
install
to begin at a mandatory time say 2 hours after it is advertised but
postpone the reboot for 72 hours after the mandatory assignment time.
Does anyone know if this is possible to do something similar in SCCM.
I want the updates to install within 2 hours of it being avaliable
but
not force a reboot for 3 days (friday at 6pm after patch tuesday)

I know on the SCCM there is a maintenance window you can set. You can
use this make sure PCs don't reboot during normal hours. You can set
this so that PCs only reboot at night and not in the morning.
