I have setup a Windows 2003 member server on an sbs2000 network. I use a vpn
tunnel to connect and manage the SBS2000 server VIA RDP. When I try and use
RDP to manage the Windows 2003 server an error about no licensing server was
found. I Installed the licensing server on the SBS2000 machine. But I still
receive the same error when I connect to the win2k3. I did not install any
licenses on the licensing server (I didn't think I needed them for remote
admin mode). Can someone point me in the right direction?
TIA

VPN and RDP are very different
If you vpn to the SBS 2000 then start up rdc from the SBS to the
memberserver does that work??

Yes you are correct and thank you for clarifying. I establish a vpn
connection to the SBS2000 server and then use RDC. But I get a licensing
error and am unable to connect to the member server. Works fine connecting
to the SBS2000 server.

I found the answer to this. Remote control sessions are not enabled by
default on windows 2003. I went in and enabled remote control under system.
Then I disabled terminal services. Everything worked as it should.
