Hi

I have my sbs2003 server behind a firewall. The internal IP address is
192.168.255.4 I have forwarded port 80 and 443 from my public address
222.abc.def.g to my internal address. If I go to a web browser and enter
http://222.abc.def.g/exchange the owa logon screen appears. If I enter my
username and password i can view my emails. I have registered a domain name
mymail.co.uk and have forwarded the ip address to my public address of
222.abc.def.g.

If I now enter http://www.mymail.co.uk/exchange into a browser window the
owa logon screen appears. If i enter my username and password and logon the
screen changes for a moment then goes back to the logon screen. can any one
help.

I dont want to put a public IP address on my server and I only have one IP.
Do i need to enter anything in the dns on my sbs box?

any help wpuld be appreciated.

Many thaks

Derek

Hi Derek,

You don't want port 80 open inbound so close that immediately. For owa
access from the internet you will have to use https://ip/exchange.

Hi,

thanks I have blocked port 80 now. is there anyway i can use a name rather
than the ip address though. I do have a dpamain name that i can use and i
can forward the address to my ip and i have complete control over my domain

many thanks

Hi Derek,

To use a name you would have to ask your ISP to create a record for it. Then
rerun the CEICW and create a new certificate with that name.
