Dear all,

I have sbs2000 and 25 users, clients are using different
OS like 98,2000,XP. I have assigned some application in
SBS2000 through server management console(define client
application-add client application).But when a client
(win2000) logs on to the server the application is not
assigning to him, (I have put this user in the admin group
of the local pc), but still same problem?
Pls some one can help on this issue?
(The program which I am assigning is a small attachment
option program and winzip)

Best Regards

I believe that unless you are setting the workstation up from scratch client
setup routine wont work.  It only runs the first time the user logs on to a
new PC that hasn't been previoulsy connected to the network.

Dear Rob,
Well I will explain what I have done on my clientPC.
1.Created a computer account in SBS
2.In the new PC, Windows2000 Installed and client joined
to the SBS(through Network ID wizard), there is no other
application installed in this client pc.
3.SBS- server management console I have added two small
application and the same application added to the client
computer through (define client application-add client
application).(It says cleint application added
successfully, application will be installed next time a
user logs from the computer)
4.I logged from the local PC to SBS(user added to the
local admin group as well).

Anver,

We have gone through all of this before.
Can you check if the loginscript is running on that workstation when you're
logged in as that user?

Are you using .msi packages for the installation? If not, then IMO the
application push does  not work. IIRC you need MSI packages for
Clientapps to work.

Hi Anver,

If you don't see any loginscript running, than check in AD users, tab
Profile. Do you have a script in there? What does it say? Does that script
exist? What is in it?
