Hi Paris,

Thank you for using Microsoft Technical Support Newsgroups.

What error message(s) are you receiving?  Also, have you verified that you
can mount blank databases?  Did you enable the option to allow databases to
be overwritten by a restore?  This checkbox is on the Database Tab of the
Mailbox Store properties page.

Once again, thank you for using the newsgroups.

Best Regards,

Hi Paris,

To mount blank databases, move everything out of the MDBDATA folder, then from
Exchange System Manager, mount the stores.  You will receive a warning that
says one or more databases are missing.  Acknowledge this message and blank
stores will be created and hopefully successfully mounted.

Once again, thank you for using the newsgroups.

Hi guys,
Sorry for the delay, It seems that as soon as one
problem is resolved another is created. I have managed to
mount the data stores by deleting the contents of the
MDBDATA folders and restoring using the restore wizard
(for some reason a manual restore always comes back with
the same mounting problem) Now that the stores were
mounted i could send emails out through DNS, but the
exchange could not connect to the pop email inboxs, tried
to resolve this by restoring the system state and
rebooting the router. After this point the pop boxes
connected and downloaded, but something has happend to
the DHCP because now none of the workstations are picking
the server up as a DHCP server and they cannot ping to it.
Help

Hi Paris -

Can you check the event viewer and post back the associated errors (with
event ids)?
