I'm interested in installing Windows SharePoint Services (WSS)
and/or SharePoint Portal Server (SPS) on a Small Business
Server 2003 platform and hope to identify any issues that may
be of concern. Does anybody have any comments?

You'll do well to ask this in microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs which is
the SBS2k3 group.

BTW, Sharepoint Team Services is an integral part of SBS2k3, if it is not
yet installed you haven't correctly installed SBS.

BTW2 or it errored during install, which is expected.

Clinton,

To be just a bit more specific.. SBS 2003 includes Windows SharePoint
Services (WSS).. If when you are refering to SharePoint Portal Server (SPS)
you are referring to version 2.0 it actually requires WSS..  However, SPS is
not supported on the SBS server itself.. you would need to have a Windows
2003 member server to run SPS.

I see. Thank you David. For some reason I suspected SBS would
not support SPS but I was not sure.

You know Microsoft has been consolidating their newsgroups but I
looked using 'sbs' as my search criteria before I posted anyway and
didn't see the group you mentioned.

I looked again moments ago and actually scrolled down all
the way this time <doh>

Thanks for the comments and resources...
