After establishing a VPN connection to my server, I am
unable to browse the internet with IE on the client.  The
page eventually times out with message "Cannot find
server or DNS Error".  I assume it has something to do
with DNS resolution, but I don't know how to correct
this.  Could somebody please advise.

Thanks,
Don

..... understanding of course that you have now have a back door from within
your lan to the internet ;-|. Equal to connecting one of the internal client
machines directly to the internet, bypassing any firewall your SBS may have,
including ISA and/or any router/firewall device.

How much trust can be put in the vpn client?

Hello Don,

If you are running ISA on the server you can also enable "Use a Proxy
server" for the VPN connection.

Internet Explorer - Tools, Options, choose the VPN connection, Settings.
Point it to the server port 8080.

Here's a discussion and how-to article regarding what Mike has suggested.
Note that the remote client has control over the settings, and the process.
So the user must also be trusted.
