well they would be better off with a high speed dsl or cablemodem and then a site to site vpn...not much you can do about the ones at the clients sites
At the main office you should get the biggest pipe you can.
Remember, you have to spend money to make money
If you're users are being bogged down by bandwidth, then you're wasting money.
Check your DSL and Cable providers who will provide a static IP and get the biggest bandwidth you can get. Some providers are offering up to 6MB (about 4 times faster than a full T-1)

Spread out pretty good. 3 at a remote office together that has a fractional
T-1 line. The rest are at client sites and I do not know what type of
internet connection they have but they are all supposedly high speed.

When you say you have 6 users working remotely are they all in the same
"location" (i.e. same building)
Or is each one in a different location?

Hello all and thanks for all of the good advise that has been dispensed
before. I would like some advice from some gurus that have dealt with this
more than me. I have VPN set up and can connect great but many things do not
work well more than likely due to slow upload through my ADSL connection.
What would be a good upgrade in connection to make VPN work better. The
users would like to access files on their server based folders, they time
out opening Excel docs now.
I have an SBS2003 2 nic set up with approx 30 users. I have 6 users that
are now working remotely. So what would be a good way to go? T1, ISDN,
mental telepathy? Thanks in advance.
Aaron
Cool, thanks. We have a static IP now with our SBC ADSL. I will talk to them
tomorrow.

Make sure you pay attention to more than just the download speeds, as the
upload speed will have a big impact on the VPN connection.

Gotcha, yeah, when we chose the whole ADSL route we weren't even thinking
that we would need VPN in the future so upload was not important then. Shows
I need to look forward more. Thanks.
