I have reviewed the previous posts regarding these errors and seem to have a
more severe issue with them than described.
Present config:
OS is W2003 @ Sp1
2 His2006 servers using TN3270 for terminal sessions and standard LU3
printing. No APPC.
KB 935491 and KB 942183 Hotfixes applied to both servers

SNA Manager occasionally crashes with Failing MMC.exe Event 1004

When Opening the SNA manager on either the Primary or the Backup server a
large volume of 5123 and 5150 errors post on the Primary and no errors post
on the secondary. The same volume of errors are recorded when closing the
manager on either server and it does not matter what portion of the config (I.
E. the print service or one of the servers for example) is highlighted when
opening or closing.

After manager is open, When reviewing Primary configuration information (I.E.
highlighting Printservice for example) related to the  Primary  server a
large number of errors post. When reviewing information related to the backup
no errors post.

In addition, SNA Manager occasionally crashes.....Failing application MMC.exe
Event 1004

That all being said, has the problem been determined to be the result of a
memory leak and if so was the application of KB 942183 expected to fix  this
problem?  If not has there been a Hotfix issued against it?

Thanks in advance for any comments

Hi,

I had approx. the same problem. After I'd installed SP2 on Win2003, the
problem disappeared.

Which version of MMC are you running ?

You should use MMC 3.0.
