Hi,

I have a big problem with Exchange 2003 standard.

Actually i have a Win2K3 R1 SP1 DC on which is installed an Ex2K3 SP2
standard.
For reasons i need to setup a new Ex2K3 server belonging to the same
Exchange organisation in the same Win2K3 domain on a member server (R1-SP1)
When i setup this new Exch server, i have many errors, like when i execute
the setup, Exchange says me there are some compatibilities problems, but i
can't find what problems..and during the installation, Exchange asked me to
get the cdoex.dll file which it seems not present on the original cd
(Exchange 2003 SP1) ...very strange..and after i have many "red" errors with
codes like 0x800blabla ..and so i can't installed well exchange.

i was wondering if those problems could come from the fact that i have my
first Exchange in SP2, and i'm installing a new server for the same
organisation with a SP1 Exchange CD.
I don't have the Exchange 2003 with SP2.

If anyone can help me.

Thanks a lot

Hi,

It is normal to have compatibility problems when installing an Exchange 2003
RTM version on windows server 2003 SP2. You can safely ignore this error
message, just install exchange 2003 SP2 after the installation is finished
(you can download this from Microsoft).
