This may be a silly question, but if I have a single Exchange server
environment with no Edge Servers, can I go ahead and disable the
EdgeSync service?

Not sure if there are any major impact if you're using the Edge
facilities on the HT (there's a monad script) but you can stop and
disable the Edge Service and still have flow.

You also get mail flow in and out with no delay (or improved
performance either!) if you stop and disable that service.

You can stop it without any impact.
