Hi

We have added a custom field in AD to add employee start date.  We would
like to add that to the user record
that shows up in outlook. We have modified the template to add a field label
for Employee Start Date. Now trying
to add an 'edit' field for start date, but cannot figure out how to have
this field show up in fields that are selectable to add to the edit field.
Anyone have ideas on how to get this field to be selected here?

Thanks

Dean

Hello Dean,

This article may help you out

Note that not all AD field can be displayed in Outlook the attribute must
have an associated MAPI identifier (ID).

If the custom field you are talking about is any of the extensionattributes
then they will show up in Outlook

Thanks for the article.  This helped a little bit, but following these
instructions, when you get to the part of
going into the template design, and adding an edit field to
display the contents of the field into the template, the custom field "start
date" does not appear as a field that I can select in the drop down
selection  box.  How can I get my custom attribute to be able to be selected
in this list?  It looks like all other exchange attributes show up in
there.

Thanks

Dean
