All,

I want to merge 3 companies into 1 and migrate the mesaging environment to
Exchange 2003. Both companies A & B are running Windows 2000/Exchange 5.5.
Company C is running Windows 2003 / Exchange 2003. What is the best
consolidation / migration path for Exchange?

Many thanks in advance,

Olivier

Hi,

Depending on the number of users, size of mailboxes etc.

You can use exmerge, exchange migration wizard or 3-party tools.

You have to consider this is an AD migration\consolidation as well as
for Exchange unless you just plan to throw up a bunch of trusts and
just migrate\consolidate mail. Try to determine what your optimal
final state is for directory services and mail and then work backwards
from there. You have several options including MS tools for free to
migration suites from Quest, BindView, Altaris and others.
