We have a single Exchange 2003 server hosting a small environment (100
mailboxes). We would like to install OWA on this server and also move it to
our DMZ without configuring front-end and back-end servers. Not sure if this
configuration would work. Any help would be greatly appricated.
Thank you,
Julie

Why????
You would have to open so many ports between the DMZ and your LAN for all
the AD and DNS stuff that it would make it less secure.
What are you currently using as your firewall?

Thank you. We currently have a pix firewall.

Putting OWA in DMZ is does not really provide any additional security,
it's more a misconception these days. Is there a particular reason why
you want to put your OWA in the DMZ?

Hi Julie,
You might be better served putting ISA Server Standard Edition in the DMZ
(as a standalone machine) and reverse-publishing OWA to the internal
Exchange server. A lot cleaner, and more secure.
