Our Forest: corp.com
Our resource domains: a.corp.com and b.corp.com
Everything is at least Windows2003 and Exchange 2003SP1

We currently have ExSrvB in  b.corp.com which is in a different
administrative group in exchange.
We want to migrate all the mailboxes from this server to ExSrvA in
a.corp.com.
The useraccounts whose mailboxes are on ExSrvB are in the b.corp.com
domain, we also
want to migrate these user-accounts to a.corp.com.
I know some of the tasks can be performed with ADMT, but I'm not really
sure about
the Exchange part.
Does anyone have any tips or recommendations for the Exchange
migrations ?

Thanks in advance!

IIRC, you can use the right-click feature and choose to move mailbox if in
native mode Exchange.
Can't think of a reason why that wouldn't do what you want.  Or am I missing
something?  (note, you cannot move servers across those boundaries, but
users you can do all day long.)

"In Exchange 2003 SP1, you can move mailboxes across administrative groups
by using either the Move Mailbox Wizard in Exchange System Manager or the
Exchange Task Wizard in Active Directory Users and Computers."

Ok thanks,

So to summarize,
I could:
1: Move the mailboxes to ExSrvA in a.corp.com
2: In the next phase, using ADMT migrate the users/groups from
b.corp.com to a.corp.com, and those users would
retain access to their mailboxes through SID-history ?

A related question, is it necessary to run the ExProfRE tool on
workstations to redirect the Outlook profiles ?
We are using Exchange 2003 SP1 in native mode, I read conflicting
information about this.

thanks in advance for any comments!

You may want to reconfigure the profiles if you need to change the logon id.
Sidhistory is not something you want to keep forever as it can be troubling
later to leave it.  Changing the id associated is something to consider.

My take has always been to just get it over with in swoop.  In fact, I have
a tendency to want to do the migration the other way around: sec prins
first, then the mailboxes.  The reason for that is that is the natural
progression of how you would install it as well.  Seems to work better that
way.

Because it's one server to the next with native move tools, you don't *have*
to change the profiles IIRC. It's been a while though, so test it thoroughly
in your environment.
