We have a branch office that currently has about 100 users. They have a T1
that connects them to the corporate office where our Email server resides. I
am looking on a way to have a second exchange server on this branch office so
that all 100 users do not have to go accross the same pipe. I would think
that if this were to happened their access to email will be very slow. Is
there a way I can have 2 exchange servers on in HQ and one at the branch
office with the same mailbox information. I have looked at geographical
clusters but it looks like a complicated solution. Let me know if there is
another way to set them up.
Thanks,
Victo0r
You're right, as things stand, geo-clusters are a fairly complicated and on
the higher side in terms of costs.
If the requirement is to simply provide faster access to the remote office
users - i.e. you need better performance than Outlook 2003 Cached Mode can
provide, it would make sense to simply install a local Exchange server at
that remote office.
