Hi,

I have registered a domain example.com, now I have a client requirement, the
requirement is as follows.

The client has a registered domain client.com, they have a MX record
pointing to 3 servers, now they want a requirement, to map their MX records
in client.com domain to our domain example.com.

How can this be achieved ???? As example.com is not a authorized server to
host MX records for client.com.

This is the requirement

Existing:-

client.com (MX records)
client3.com internet address = a.b.c.d
client2.com internet address = e.f.g.h
client1.com internet address = i.j.k.l

Requirement:-

To map the MX of example.com to client.com, such that all incoming mails
come to client.com & then route to example.com

This isn't possible using MX records. MX records will only direct inbound
mail to a particular mail host at a time.

You can set up the (client.com) mail hosts to relay to example.com.

This is very easy
You must add Example.com to you smtp address space even if you do not assign
it to anyone and choose exchange to be authorative for it
next
First- If you are NOT running the latest Exchange 2003 Service pack, you can
either install it (after testing ofcourse) or create a Virtual server to
accept incoming mail for example.com-you can skip this if you are on the
latest service pack

Next create an SMTP connector that fowards to smart host at example.com
now...
You must register your MX record to come to client.com for example.com as
well- this will route all traffic for client.com and example.com to the
client.com servers

When a message is sent internally to example.com it will route thru the
bridgehad server to teh example.com smarthost

when a message from the internet is sent to example.com it will be sent tou
client.com which will re-route it to example.com

You may have to activate relaying for this domain
